HE IS THERE FOR ME

1. He knows my days,
   He knows my ways.
   He knows my heart,
   and where I should start
   when I strive for change,
   feeling too much pain.
   Taking steps away,
   I can hear Him say:

"You come back, my dear child,
there is no better time.
Don't you know what you need?
It's right here, yes indeed!
If you try on your own,
that's the end of the show.
Take my hand, I will lead,
then you will start to see."

2. When I feel sad,
   when I feel mad,
   when I do wrong,
   Jesus comes along.
   Doing what I please,
   thinking just to leave.
   Again it's His turn,
   will I ever learn?
"You come back, my dear child,

It's right here, yes indeed!
If you try on your own,
that's the end of the show.
Take my hand, I will lead,
then you will start to see."
3. I take His hand,
   I understand.
   I take His Word,
   He cleans all my dirt.
   I must just believe,
   He is there for me.
   If your life now falls,
   remember he calls:
